Product Condition Definitions

Genuine / OEM

Items sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer. Genuine items carry full manufacturer’s warranty.

Lexmark Product

Genuine Lexmark Parts – ExpressPoint warranties all genuine Lexmark parts for 180 days from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.

Genuine Lexmark Printers – Please see manufacturer’s website for complete warranty information. If you are under contract with Lexmark as a service provider, solutions dealer or distributor, please contact your Lexmark sales rep for any warranty questions.

HP Product

Genuine HP Parts – HP provides a warranty between 30 days and 180 days based on quote.

Genuine HP Printers – Please see manufacturer’s website for complete warranty information. In general, HP provides a one year limited warranty on its printers. Extended warranty is available directly from HP.

New Sealed
A brand-new, unused item in the original sealed packaging. These items carry a 30-day warranty unless otherwise noted.
MFG Refurbished (Renew)
Items refurbished by the OEM. They are "like new". Warranty terms vary. Please contact your ExpressPoint representative for detailed warranty information.
ExpressPoint Refurbished/Remanufactured
Our refurbished/remanufactured products carry a 30-day warranty unless otherwise stated.
Advance Exchange
An item sent to you as soon as you order it, after which you send us your defective part. Exchange orders are billed at the Exchange price. The defective part (core) must be received at our warehouse within 30 days. If not received within that period, your account or credit card is billed a core value.

For a warranty claim, all equipment must be returned to us. Items found to be defective will be repaired or replaced at our option. The warranty is valid in the U.S. only, does not cover misuse or mishandling of equipment, and is void if tamper seals are broken.

For out-of-box failures (DOAs) reported to us within 5 days of receipt of item, ExpressPoint will pay return shipping and ship a replacement via the same shipping method as original, at our expense. The failed item must be returned to us within 30 days.

Failed in warranty (FIW) items must be returned to us within 30 days from the date a warranty claim is filed. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. ExpressPoint will ship a replacement via ground shipping, at our expense.

Special order items are not eligible for return, with the exception of out-of-box failures occurring within the first 5 days after shipment.

For out-of-box failures (DOAs) reported to us within 5 days of receipt of item, ExpressPoint will pay return shipping and ship a replacement via the same shipping method as original, at our expense. The failed item must be returned to us within 20 days.

Returns

Returns are a part of doing business and an important part of good customer service. We believe in a 'no hassle' return policy. Please observe the following guidelines:

1.    Please call us before returning any item. Most problems are caused by shipping "jostling" and can be resolved with a telephone call.

2.    All items returned must be in unused/restockable or "as failed" condition and in original packages, complete with original packing materials, manuals, blank warranty cards and other accessories provided by the manufacturer.

3.    You will be issued a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number. This number helps us track, identify and process your return. Write the RMA number on the outside of your return packages, include a copy of your original invoice or packing slip, and return the package within 10 days of the receipt of your RMA number. We will not accept returns without RMA numbers.

4.    Package and insure all items for their full value. Lost or damaged parts cannot be exchanged.

5.    Return packages must be sent directly to our address. We will not accept any C.O.D. shipments. Shipping charges are not refundable.

6.    Refunds will be issued by the same method of payment as the original purchase. Check refunds usually take 30 days.

7.     Items returned on a non-exchanged basis are subject to a 20% restocking fee. There is a $20 minimum restock fee for items under $100.

8.    Non-defective/changed mind items may be returned within 20 days from date of purchase, excluding special order items, which may be non-returnable. Good returns are subject to a 20% or $20 restock fee, which ever is greater. Please call us before returning a non-defective/changed mind item.

9.    RMAs for defective items will be voided after 10 days and no longer eligible for credit.

10    If product is returned against an expired RMA the return will be reviewed to determine if the product will be accepted. If the product is accepted for return, any upcharge invoices will be credited. Otherwise the customer is notified to issue a call-tag for pick up or the product will be disposed of within one week.

11.    A product returned as defective but found to be non-defective at our location is subject to rebilling for the replacement product and associated shipping.

Shipping

Orders placed by 7PM Eastern Time for in stock items will be shipped same day.

We have relationships with all the major carriers to provide the service level you require combined with the most competitive pricing. We offer:

  • Ground Service
  • Overnight Early AM
  • Overnight Standard
  • Two Day
  • Three Day
  • Other options also available

We ship all packages "FOB (freight on board) shipper.” At the time a package leaves our loading dock, the title and ownership of that package transfer to the customer. If a package is damaged in shipment:

  • Shipped on our account; notify us immediately. Save all packaging, both inside and out, in case an inspection is necessary. We will process freight claim.
  • Shipped on your account or your carrier, or if you arranged shipping; then you should call the carrier to process the claim.

 

Freight Charges

Freight charges quoted are an estimate based upon the average DIM weight and cost per piece for the service requested (i.e. overnight). Actual weight may vary.

If you order multiple pieces or the items are bulk packed, shipping charges will vary from shown charges in the order total (usually multiple piece orders are less).

Fees incurred from the carrier for Address Corrections or Delivery Exceptions will be invoiced to the customer under the original purchase order or charged to the credit card used when placing the original order.

For RESIDENTAL delivery add $7.50.

ExpressPoint reserves the right to charge the actual shipping cost of the order.

 

Sales Tax

By law, sales tax must be charged to any ordering party in Pennsylvania or California who does not have a Reseller Tax Certificate on file with us.

Several other states may also require a certificate to be on file.

 

Payment Terms

Credit Card: We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

COD: We accept company checks on orders less than $1,000. A Certified or Cashier’s check is required on orders over $1,000. Trade references may be requested.

 

Advance Exchange / Core Charges

To get your printer up and running faster, you can use our Advance Exchange program. We send you a working part as soon as you order it. After you receive ours, send us your defective part; just mark the box or packing slip with our sales confirmation/RMA number. This reference number will help ensure that you get the proper credit for sending in the core. Defective parts must be repairable and in "as failed" condition. Parts must be received within 30 days.

Write the RMA number on the outside of your package(s). Protect the cores during shipping by placing them into the packaging of the unit that you are replacing it with, if available. If that packaging is not available, bubble-wrap, Styrofoam peanuts or other packing material should be used to protect the core. You may ship them individually or in bulk.

Advance Exchange orders are billed at the exchange price. The defective part (core) must be received at our warehouse within 30 days. If the core is not received within 30 days, your account or credit card will be billed a core value.

 

IT Asset Disposition and Core Buy Back

Due to fluctuating market conditions, the product we can accept and the prices paid are subject to frequent changes. Email dave.anderson@expresspoint.com for the most up-to-date information.

All cores must be complete, repairable or in “as failed” condition. ExpressPoint will provide a complete inspection of product received to determine if it meets these requirements and to record type and quantity received. After inspection, we will quickly issue a credit to your account or process a check.
